Thanks for joining the 20th Anniversary Cleanup!

On March 19th, the Mid City Neighborhood Council celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a clean up with the community of Marvin Elementary School. Staff, teachers, parents, and students joined MINC board members and others to clear the streets and sidewalks of rubbish, plant matter, and more!

We had a wonderful turn out and dozens worked for several hours picking up trash, sweeping, raking, and leaf blowing. Thank goodness we had lots of supplies, snacks, and hydration.

Thanks to Marvin Elementary, Council District 10, LA Conservation Corps, LAUSD Board Member McKenna's office, and everyone who came out and helped!

The response was wonderful and we would like to hold additional clean-up events if possible. Until then, there are unofficial Mid City Clean Up events run by community members every second Saturday of the month. Email info@recreation.cafe to get on the email list regarding these events.
