Mid City Artist Project CONTEST!

Updated: Sep 20, 2021

MINC is calling all artists for our art contest! Be featured in our virtual art gallery and win a chance to be featured on banners along Washington Blvd as well as in City Hall!

In lieu of our annual Mid City Arts & Music Festival, the Mid City Neighborhood Council is having an art contest!

Any 2D work will be accepted. The theme is wide open. We wish to celebrate local artists and Mid City's rich cultural history, and there is an inspiration gallery on the contest website for those who could use a muse. All submissions will be displayed on our virtual art gallery. Winners will be highlighted and be considered for features on street banners along Washington Blvd for three years!

Submissions are open now and will go until midnight on MLK Jr Day: Jan 18 2021. We are assembling a panel of esteemed judges, prominent local residents who will decide on the winners. This is in combination with other ongoing Washington Blvd beautification projects.

Artwork may also be displayed in City Hall during Black History Month 2021, if the building is open to visitors.

Check out the website here for more information!
