Celebrate Mid City and its art and music history!

On June 12th, MINC will hold an event commemorating our 20th anniversary. We are unveiling the banners to be placed on the remaining available light poles on Washington Blvd between Fairfax and Crenshaw, which feature artwork from the late William C. Byers.

Event details

Celebrate with us at Wellington Square Farmer's Market!

10am-noon

4394 Washington Blvd

Los Angeles, CA 90016

The celebration will feature a local jazz band, prints of the artwork and banners, and vouchers to get food from our local farmer's market vendors.

For children, there will be an arts & crafts table, free face painting, a free book giveaway, and a STEAM activity from Sol Full Enrichment.

Also at the event, we will unveil a public art project by students from the Woodbury School of Architecture. This has been in the works for some time so we are very excited! Students designed and created public seating for the sidewalks outside of specific small businesses on Washington Blvd. Called the "Inside Out Project," the artistic benches will be revealed and available to use at the event.

See you then!
